An innovative and exciting new addition to any church’s children’s ministry, brings its week long day camp of sports, arts, and outrageous fun to Cedar Rapids this summer. It is an alternative to traditional Vacation Bible Schools, not yet explored in the Cedar Rapids area.
SportsLife Camps will be held July 7-10, 2008 from 5:45 pm to 8:45 pm at First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren 5200 Northland Avenue NE Cedar Rapids, IA.
Children, entering 1st grade through 5th grade in the fall of 2008 are invited to participate in this new opportunity. Campers have the choice to participate in one of the following focus areas, soccer, basketball, and dance or arts extravaganza.
SportsLife Camps allows flexibility in allowing each camper to customize the camp experience by choosing a preferred sport or art, and to develop real skills in these areas as well as high-energy camp experience with video, games, music, stories and more all in the name of Jesus!
Pre-registration is required. To ensure full week commitment we are asking for each registrant for a $10 deposit, $20 maximum for a family. There is no additional cost after this. If you are unable to pay the deposit, there are scholarships available. There are a limited amount of spaces available, so prayerfully consider signing your child up to be a part of this. Deadline for registering is June 9th, 2008. To register, contact First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren, 5200 Northland Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA. (319) 377-8020 or office_mgr@fbccob.org.
SportsLife Camps was launched out of a desire to help the Church develop children’s faith in Jesus through facilitating innovative sports and arts programs through on-site summer day camps. Their team of gifted coaches works with children to develop their athletic and artistic passions and skills while teaching from the Bible and modeling Jesus’ love. SportsLife Camps is built on a foundation of tremendous staff, creative programming, and Outrageous Fun! Through each and every camp, the SportsLife team aspires to love kids, love Jesus and love His church! For more information, please visit: www.sportslifecamps.com
