While the mission of 89.1 The Spirit is to encourage faith in the lives of youth and young adults, we are also driven by Vision08. The focus of Vision08 through the year 2008 will help 89.1 The Spirit accomplish specific objectives relating to our mission.  Accomplishing the objectives of Vision08 will propel The Spirit into the future with increased purpose and stability.  We're the radio station about "Loving God and Loving People".  After all, it's "Our Community and Our Responsibilty." 

Vision08 is threefold:
First, increase our involvement and awareness in the Greater Cedar Rapids community.  We will accomplish this through networking with churches, community organizations, and targeted community outreaches.  Our goal is to TRIPLE our Van or Cruiser Stops

Second, achieve a significant increase in our listener base verifiable through the Radio Research Consortium.  To accomplish this, The Spirit will implement highly focused campaigns that place the highest priority on the needs and wants of our most precious commodity as a radio station, our listeners.

Third, increase our support resources including financial, volunteer, and equipment.  We will accomplish this by clearly and passionately communicating the vision and need of The Spirit in each given area.  These resources will be startegically used to benefit the ongoing mission of 89.1 The Spirit.
